Brooklyn-based producer bad tuner is challenging the mold when it comes to forward-thinking dance music. First catching an early eye from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong with ‘Coming Down’, his tracks continue to be spun regularly by tastemaker stations & DJs globally, including KCRW, KEXP, SiriusXM Chill, Ben Malone (Kiss FM UK), Danny Howard, Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri (BBCR1), Triple J, RMC and others. He also earned three consecutive Zane Lowe World Premiers on his Apple Music One show in 2024. Having a distinct sound has made tuner stand out brightly in the electronic space and has put him on the map with several leading artists in the dance scene. In March of 2024 bad tuner released his look at me but through me EP with Foreign Family Collective/Ninja Tune that earned support from Billboard, NPR, The FADER, KCRW, KEXP, and BBC Radio 1 & Radio 6, RTE2 FM, TripleJ and elsewhere.
This followed his 'Back to My <3' EP that arrived via the electronic imprint LG105, home to artists like Ross from Friends, Fakear, and Mall Grab. His fresh sound has also translated to the live stage where bad tuner has built a name for himself with his distinctive DJ sets. 2025 kicked off with back to back direct support tours, first with Tycho then with BAYNK. 2025 will see bad tuner hit the road with Gilligan Moss on a North American co-headline tour along with a new EP.
Their new project “A La Mode” takes the GM sound on a more experimental-club turn and is due this summer.
