Bullshit Detector began as a pandemic project with only one real goal in mind, and that was to write harder, darker oi-based punk and blend it with classic post-punk, goth, and death rock. A@ectionately referred to as thugwave, the sound has continued to develop over the span of those years into what it is now. The lyrics talk about injustice, addiction, death, and mental illness in a way that has resonated with people far beyond what they ever thought possible. It is their goal to continue reaching those inside and outside the punk scene with a message of redemption and hope despite how dark the world around us has become.
