Sean Hayes
Sean Hayes is a San Francisco Bay Area-based singer-songwriter known for a unique, gritty blend of folk, soul, and R&B-inflected roots music. His sound has been described as dusty, warm, and effortless, featuring a gravelly, soulful voice that blends intimate storytelling with danceable rhythms.
Hayes has collaborated and toured with artists including Aimee Mann, Frazey Ford, Charley Crockett, Jolie Holland, The Wood Brothers, Ani DiFranco and The Cold War Kids among many more; his work has been remixed by house DJ Mark Farina and featured on NPR, NBC and HBO. Known for his raw vocals and timeless songs, Hayes has built a loyal following across the country, whether stripped-down or with a full-band, his shows are simply a night of good music.
KATZROAR
In less than three years, KATZROAR has emerged as a witch and muse of the psychedelic rock scene. Having already amassed over 28 million streams, opened for and toured with artists such as Christian Kuria, BALTHVS, and Kerala Dust on the east and west coast, this early success foretells a promising vision for the future of this independent artist.
KATZROAR sounds like if Hermanos Gutierrez had a witchy sister, or if Khruangbin and Stevie Nicks made an album. The project fits in the contemporary trend of neo-psychedelic, but adds the power of the female voice to the melodic interplay of dreamy guitar and groovy bass, blending psych, rock, funk and pop. Through ethereal vocals, poetic lyrics and instrumental landscapes, KATZROAR casts spells for body, soul and spirit. Their live show feels like an enchanting ritual, a psychedelic journey within, a transformative and transportive experience.
Led by Kat Avila, KATZROAR started in 2019 in Oakland, CA. After releasing their first album Invocation in 2021, the original band broke up and the band went on hiatus for almost two years. The heartbreak of this loss fueled Avila to devote herself to her music fully, and since she brought the project back in 2024 she has worked with a collective of musicians, released an EP, her second album, over a dozen collabs with 10 different artists, and played all over North America.
KATZROAR is both the moniker of Kat the artist and the name of the band. Because of the collective nature, the project carries an element of mystery – you never know exactly who is playing, and every song or performance is different than the one before. KATZROAR has been called an active metamorphosis, a cult of transformation, where audience and band members alike don feline masks and everyone is invited to be a KATZ.
