The Concert Carnival began as an artistic crisis before Nat’s 30th birthday, and has since become a beloved San Francisco year-end tradition. The idea is to bring together diverse performers to make new work in new ways, in a cabaret environment. The audience drinks cocktails in their seats as Nat & crew play new creations with new combinations of people, making moments that will happen only once. The performers often have more fun than anyone, as they step away from their main gig to play a night of music for the sake of enjoyment.

The NKCC is a toy drive. Bring a new or gently-used toy for a disadvantaged kid, or a cash donation, and receive your pick of the merch table.

Nat Keefe is guitarist, singer, and founder of the Bay Area bluegrass band, Hot Buttered Rum. Formed in 1999, HBR has played some of the most prestigious festivals, including Telluride Bluegrass, Newport Folk, Strawberry, High Sierra, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Here in San Francisco, they’ve headlined legendary shows at the Fillmore and the Independent. HBR is also the Official Bluegrass Band of the SF Giants, and sings the National Anthem every year. The band continues to tour and record, with an ambitious 2020 schedule.
