The Spittin' Cobras
2012 is indeed the Year of the Cobra:
On March 20th The Spittin' Cobras gift the world Year of the Cobra on shimmering vinyl, sparkling compact disc, and on the inter-web.
The Spittin' Cobras play their own brand of Rock 'n' Roll, straight ahead and genuine. The music is razor sharp. It's cooked in the same kitchen as the meat and potatoes bands like Black Sabbath, The Stooges, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, and Nirvana generously dumped on the silly cultural flambés of their respective time periods. The Spittin' Cobras local weekly picked up on this right away, " No joke, no question The Spittin' Cobras are everything that Rock 'n' Roll has been missing for 20 years."
The Spittin' Cobras formed in Seattle to near instant notoriety, gaining a reputation as a phenomenal live act. Bringing together members of The Dwarves, KMFDM, and Murdock this new meld of players was also a co-op of styles: Classic hard rock, metal and punk. They deliver anthems with authority and skill, keeping things pure and simple, no nonsense - Hard working good times if you will. One listen to "Throw Your Horns" or "Criminal Mastermind" (and the crazy thing is, the whole record really) and you get the sense that you're in the midst of, dare I say, contemporary classics.
The Spittin' Cobras hit the road with The Supersuckers to start the year and then continue on, and on, and on, soon to dominate a stage near you... Find out when, come see what Alx, Jules, Andy and Jake are cooking up, gorge on their hearty musical offerings, and get your mind blown. The Spittin' Cobras live show has one purpose- To Rock hard and make sure everyone in the room does too.
Flexx Bronco is the real deal from San Francisco, California. Everything they do is derived from within. Their writing style, based on collective experiences, influences and lifestyle, exposes many truths found while touring and living it over the past decade. Flexx Bronco is not just a "Rock N' Roll" band. While that is at the heart of what they do, more aptly they embody the essence of it.
"A venomous potion somewhere in between, boogie, punk and hard rock, with hard riffing, bold punk attitude and bourbon raining over every tune." (-WWW.AUDIODROME.IT - 2010)
Rooted in all aspects of outlaw, Flexx Bronco's influences draw from the bad boys of just about every guitar based genre. The typical Flexx Bronco set spans a variety of genres, ranging from country to rock, blues to pop and alternative, all firmly rooted in the heartbeat of punk rock.
The four members of Flexx bronco; Filthy, Eroc, Guy Thunderbird and Thor Bigsby come from very different backgrounds, and once musically combined their songs epitomize explosive, eccentric Rock and Roll decadence. Flexx Bronco takes the listener through the ages with drunken country sing- alongs, heavy garage blues, and then with a single down- beat, jetting them off on a lightning fast full- throttle punk and roll onslaught.
Flexx Bronco have played over three hundred shows in the last several years, sharing the stage with such phenomenal acts such as the Supersuckers, Agent Orange, The Bronx, Throw Rag, The Black Halos, Tesla, Sammy Hagar and Death by Stereo to name a few. The bands juxtaposition of old school work ethic and vivacious musical passion exudes in their dynamic stage shows, ensuring their fans a true rock and roll experience each time around. Flexx Bronco lyrics drench the soul like the first shot of bourbon to kick off an explosive night.
Featuring members and ex-members of Jetboy, Immigrant, Ruffians, Exodus & American Heartbreak, The Butlers are a Rock n Roll band out for nothing more nor less than a good time. Formed at their local watering hole, the boys decided they would return to their roots playing songs that got them hooked on music in the first place. The Butlers deliver a raucous set of all your favorite rock tunes from the 70's & 80's with a constant flow of all-star guests; members of Tesla, Death Angel, LA Guns, Testament, & Fang have sat in with the band. On this pedigree, The Butlers have become known as The Vintage Rock n Roll party on 12 legs.
Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits
Bobby Joe Ebola and The Children MacNuggits was mightily formed in 1995 in a fast-food parking lot by guitarist Dan Abbott and singer Corbett Redford. The often funny and sometimes scary band built a dangerously loyal following of punks, misfits, elected representatives, perverts and intellectuals, before going on hiatus for the entire tenure of the Bush Administration. In 2009, the band rebuilt its war machine and is once again shocking contemporaries with toe-tapping uncomfortable truths.
