C2C is not yet a household name for the electro/urban music enthusiast… but the three-lettername is nonetheless legendary in the world of “turntablism”, a highly technical yet intensely musical discipline, with performers using turntables as a bona fide musical instrument.
Skins & Needles
Skins & Needles is a duo made up of Dj Zeph (Om Records, Oakland Faders) and Max MacVeety (drummer for Crown City Rockers). Both staples in the Bay Area Hip-Hop scene, this duo joins forces to bring a club-party vibe with the use of live drums, breaks, scratching + mixing that keeps the dance floor moving. With live drums and Dj Zeph's musicality, Skins & Needles catches the attention of musicians, producers, and Hip-Hop heads as well as people just wanting to party and dance.
Well known for serving up a crossbreed of indy dance, swampy bass and banging beats, Tom Hamilton, aka DJ Morale, hasn't stopped moving packed dance floors since he first emerged on the scene in 2007. Whether you catch his set at a large venue, inside a dark warehouse, at a packed bar or at a major festival, his beats guarantee that standing still is out of the question. Morale's ability to engage a wide variety of music lovers with his diverse, intriguing, and completely nasty performances has left a trail of nothing but crushed dance floors and sweaty ravers behind him. Fortunately, with residencies in both San Francisco and New York, his momentum doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon
